Objectives: Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) is a severe gastrointestinal disease, mainly affecting preterm infants. NEC-survivors may have short or dysfunctional bowel with malnutrition as a result. Osteopenia of prematurity is well described among preterm infants.
